Why Choosing a Licensed Massage Therapist Matters:

  1. Verified Training and Skills: Licensed massage therapists must complete rigorous training programs that include anatomy, physiology, pathology, and hands-on techniques. This ensures they understand how to properly and safely address various muscular issues, adapt to different needs, and recognize when massage may not be appropriate.

  2. Professional Standards and Ethics: LMTs adhere to a code of ethics and professional standards required by state boards or licensing organizations. This commitment helps create a safe and respectful environment, focusing on your well-being and ensuring accountability.

  3. Health and Safety: Licensed therapists are trained in sanitation practices and body mechanics to prevent both client and therapist injuries. They understand contraindications (when massage might be harmful) and can modify techniques if you have specific health concerns, ensuring a safer experience.

  4. Ongoing Education and Expertise: Licensed therapists are often required to complete continuing education, so they stay up-to-date on techniques, research, and evolving practices in the field. This translates to enhanced skills and the ability to provide effective, customized care.

  5. Insurance and Liability: Many health insurances and wellness programs cover massage therapy only if it's performed by a licensed therapist. Additionally, licensed therapists are often insured, offering clients peace of mind in case of any accidents or issues during the session.

A licensed massage therapist brings professional training, accountability, and a level of expertise that can be critical to achieving the results you're looking for, whether it’s stress relief, pain management, or muscle recovery.

Classical Acupuncture

90 minute Intake Session $100

60-minute Follow-up  $70

We are practicing Five Elements Worsley Classical Acupuncture.

Classical Acupuncture is an ancient practice focused on restoring the body’s natural balance by addressing both physical and emotional well-being. During the initial 90-minute intake session, we delve deep into your health history, from prenatal influences to current lifestyle factors, including diet, trauma, and medications.

This comprehensive assessment helps identify imbalances within your body. Working together, we create a personalized treatment plan to restore harmony and promote overall health.

For more information about this type of acupuncture or to book an appointment, please get in touch with Colorado-licensed Acupuncturist Terry Treece at 720.219.8802. Website Frankie is currently attending the national board exams.

  • How do I know which type of massage is right for me?
If you're unsure, don’t worry! During your initial consultation, your licensed massage therapist will discuss your concerns, pain points, and goals to recommend the best approach. Whether you need deep tissue work for chronic tension or a relaxing Swedish massage, we will tailor the session to you.
  • How often should I get a licensed massage therapy?
This depends on your goals. For chronic pain or injury recovery, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be best. For stress relief or maintenance, once a month is often sufficient. We can help you determine an ideal schedule based on your needs. It is very important to listen to your body as well. Every body reacts different to massage.
  • Can massage help with stress and anxiety?
Absolutely! Licensed massage therapy reduces cortisol (the stress hormone) and increases serotonin and dopamine, which promote relaxation and emotional well-being. Many clients find massage to be a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety.
  • Are there any reasons I shouldn’t get a massage?
Massage may not be recommended if you have kidney conditions, a fever, an active infection, deep vein thrombosis, open wounds, or other certain medical conditions. If you have concerns, please consult your doctor before scheduling an appointment.
  • What types of massage do you offer?
We offer a variety of massage techniques, including trigger point therapy, neuromuscular, Swedish, myofascial release, and sports massage. Each session is customized by a licensed massage therapist to your specific needs, whether for relaxation, pain relief, or injury and surgery recovery.
  • How do I prepare for a massage session?
-Hydrate well before and after your session -Avoid heavy meals right before your appointment -Wear comfortable clothing for after your session -Communicate any concerns or preferences with your licensed massage therapist
  • Can massage help with chronic pain conditions like migraines or fibromyalgia?
Yes! Licensed massage therapy can help reduce tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, which may alleviate symptoms of migraines, fibromyalgia, sciatica, and other chronic conditions. Let us know about any medical concerns so we can tailor your treatment accordingly. Please also make sure to speak to your main medical provider to make sure massage is a good fit for you.
  • Do I need to undress completely for a massage?
You should undress to your comfort level. Many clients choose to leave on undergarments, while others prefer full undress (you will always be covered with a sheet except for the area being worked on). Your comfort and privacy are our top priorities. Please don't feel weird if you like to keep your socks or your bra on. Your licensed massage therapist will work with you.
  • What should I expect during my first massage session?
What should I expect during my first massage session? Your session will begin with a brief consultation where we discuss any pain, injuries, or areas of focus. Your licensed massage therapist at Corpus Sanus will make sure to explain to you every step to make sure you are informed and comfortable. Make sure to speak up during the treatment if you need to use the restroom, the pressure is too strong or to light, etc. The massage therapist welcomes any feedback to make sure you are comfortable.
  • Will massage hurt?
Massage should never be painful. Some techniques, like deep tissue or trigger point therapy, may cause mild discomfort, but we always adjust pressure based on your comfort level. Open communication during your session is encouraged to ensure an enjoyable experience. Please always speak up! Your licensed massage therapist appreciates any feedback that helps her to make you comfortable.
